Personal Training Online
These sessions are suitable for children and young people who are electively home educated and those learning at home through an EOTAS package.
At GT Fitness and Wellbeing, we are acutely aware that there might not be accessible fitness options in your local area. Whilst our coaches can’t reach everybody in person across the nation or globe, we can provide the next best thing: our 1:1 sessions online.
How we prepare and set up…
After the initial consultation call with your coach, they will prepare a programme that meets your child’s individual needs and goals. They will take into account any special interests and particular areas for development you would like to focus on.
Before each session, your coach will prepare a plan that they can share visually with your child. This includes video demonstrations and a breakdown of activities.
During the session, your coach will use multiple screens and cameras so that your child can see the plan and any live demonstrations, whilst also watching what they are doing.
See our in-person Personal Training page for more details about sessions.

Online Personal Training FAQs
How can an online training option work?
Sessions will utilise the Google Meets platform and will include a combination of coach-directed activities and videos to enhance the explanation and demonstrations provided.
Do we need to go out and buy any equipment?
No, not unless you want to. Your coach will create your programme based on what equipment you have readily available, remembering the best piece of equipment is the body!
Your child's coach will create an individualised programme for them based on their strengths, interests and areas for development. The programme will include a range of functional fitness exercises focusing on areas such as balance, strength, coordination, cardiovascular fitness, and gross or fine motor skills.
All our programmes are also designed to incorporate executive function skills, such as working memory and problem solving, whilst ensuring sessions are fun and engaging. Where relevant, your child’s coach can tailor their programme to support their progress towards outcomes in their EHCP across all four broads areas of SEND.
What will we work on in sessions?
We allow a maximum 45 minutes for these sessions. Session times can be adapted depending on the individuals needs and ability.
How long do online session last?
Can I use EOTAS and DLA funding to pay for sessions?
Yes. We are very happy to support those with an EHCP and those in receipt of DLA. We are an approved supplier of alternative provision for Hertfordshire local authority and are registered in their local offer. If you are resident in another area and are in receipt of direct payments through a personal budget, we can provide you with the documentation you require to submit invoices and reclaim costs from your local authority.
